Layout

Toolbar positionWhere a tool’s buttons sit: in the header, or in a column down the left or right edge with every button named. Columns apply to the tools with the most buttons; the rest stay in the header unless you choose a side for them below. Windows narrower than 900 px always use the header.
Different for some toolsA tool you choose a position for keeps it. Automatic follows the setting above.

Notepad syntax

Check syntax as I typeThe notepad flags broken JSON, XML, YAML, JavaScript, Python, GDScript, GML and more as you write, and tints the line. It reads the code and never runs it.
Syntax menuTick the languages the Syntax menu offers and put them in the order you like. Auto-detect only picks a language that is ticked. C and C++ start switched off.

    LandingWhat opens when you click Developer Toolbox. Catalogue is the tool list. Start page is the clock, web search, your pages and favourites.
    Tool links open inOpening a tool in the same tab leaves the site behind. New tab or new window keeps this page where it is.
    Installed app shows tools asTabs keeps several tools open in one window. One page at a time works like the site in a browser tab.
